Many years ago I had the distinct pleasure to work with a good friend of mine named Ronnie Walker. He grew up and spent most of his life in the southern part of the United States. Many of you won’t be surprised to hear that he had some really neat “southern sayings.”

One of his favorite questions was “Where have you been?” I always got a kick of how he would stretch out the word “have” sort of like “ha-a-a-ave”. And he asked that question even if it had only been 30 minutes or so since he last saw you. It was his way of saying “Hello”.

I know some of you are asking that same question about me and the CLEARthinking course. Except unlike Ronnie it’s been a whole lot longer than 30 minutes since you last heard from me. Well as it turns out there’s been a lot going on and that’s what I want to tell you about.

The CLEARthinking course was actually released and available online in early April. This was done to coincide with a mini workshop I presented during a conference in Orlando.

The results of the workshop far exceeded my expectations. Not only did the participants rave about the CLEARthinking method, they also provided some very valuable feedback on how I could improve the course even more. As a result I decided to make the CLEARthinking course materials temporarily unavailable so that I could incorporate their suggestions. That’s what I’ve been doing over the past few months.

Another interesting thing happened during the conference. The featured speaker was Kevin Hogan. He is an internationally recognized expert in selling strategies, body language and influential communication. He reviewed the CLEARthinking materials and now plans to include them as part of a decision making course he will be conducting in January 2010. During the past few months I have also been working to incorporate some changes necessary for that to happen.

So here’s the schedule. The free CLEARthinking Minicourse is in final revision and will be available again by the 15th of November. The full CLEARthinking course will be re-released in early December.

Thanks again for your support and patience. I think your’e going to find that it was worth the wait.

During the past few months I’ve been working with the LogoLoft to create a logo that I can use to brand the CLEARthinkingâ„¢ course and materials. It has been a very interesting and enjoyable experience.

Here’s the final result:

If you have previously downloaded the free mini-course you understand the significance of the letter “A” being represented by a tripod. I want to thank Marty Greif for that very creative suggestion.

While my work with LogoLoft is finished I plan to experiment using different colors for the “thinking” part of the logo. I would really appreciate hearing your thoughts about that in particular as well as any comments you might have about the logo itself.

I used the CLEAR Thinking method to confirm a gut feeling that I had about renting versus selling our old house. The system was methodical and quick and at the end of the process I was confident that I had thought through all aspects to ensure my decision was a good one.

What makes this system so terrific is that it uses the appropriate balance of intuition, logic, fact, and emotions in order to come to a rational conclusion. I can see this method being applicable to all types of decision making including the most difficult kinds that are rooted in emotion.

Thank you Bernie for developing this system. You will be helping a lot of people with this product!

Here are two more examples of feedback from the beta testing of the CLEAR Thinking method.

Thanks for the great opportunity you gave me when you sat down with me and went over the system of Clear Thinking. This system of Clear Thinking has already paid dividends to me. I used it to help with a decision that would have been very frustrating, aggravating, not to mention very inconvenient if I would have (more…)

Recently I had an opportunity to help folks make decisions using the CLEAR Thinking process. Here’s some of the feedback I’ve gotten so far.

Your “CLEAR Thinking Method” is terrific.

In just a few minutes, it helped me easily sort through the process of making a complicated decision and exploring possibilities that I would have not normally considered.

It’s quite amazing how your system (more…)
